Description: From 2019-2021 we will explore how people of all ages (children, youth, families, adults, and community members) engage in STEM outreach activities. Our goal is to explore engagement in STEM through different contexts such as The Family Math and Science Day; Math at the Mall; School Math Fairs; and Vancouver Maker Fair. The results of our study will help us better understand how people experience STEM in informal non-school settings. And it will help us provide recommendations for families, schools, and communities for supporting child, youth, and adults’ STEM engagement.
